Parka Fabric

Parka fabric is a specific type of fabric used to make parka jackets. Parkas are a type of outerwear garment traditionally worn in cold climates to protect from harsh weather conditions. The fabric used to make parkas needs to be durable, waterproof, and wind-resistant to keep the wearer warm and dry. Parka fabric can also be insulated to provide additional warmth. Insulation is often added to the lining of the parka to trap heat and keep the wearer warm in cold temperatures. Common insulating materials used in parkas include down synthetic fibers or a combination of both. Down is the soft layer of feathers found beneath the outer feathers of ducks or geese. It is known for its thermal insulation properties, as it traps air to provide warmth. Synthetic insulation, such as polyester or polyfill, is an alternative to down that is often used in parkas.
